A workshop on Scientific Writing is to be held at the Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding, Coimbatore from 17th to 22nd January 2017. The workshop was announced in the 10th November issue of Current Science. The announcement can be accessed here.
The workshop was initiated by Dr Rekha Warrier from IFGTB. She was a participant in the workshop held in Current Science, Bangalore, and felt that such workshops would be useful to colleagues interested in research on trees, forests and related subject areas. The workshop aims to improve the quality of research papers published by Indian scientists in this area of scientific endeavour.
Here is the link to the application form for the workshop.
Another workshop was initiated by Dr Ramasamy Ramasubramanian at the M S Swaminathan Research Foundation. He was also a participant in the workshop held in Current Science. The workshop is to be held in Chennai from 28th November to 2nd December 2016. Given that the Foundation has more than 450 senior staff who would benefit from the workshop, and that I cannot handle large numbers, the participants are from the Foundation only; it is not open to others.
